Visit to Ramoji Film City

Last Saturday, for the third time we visited Ramoji Film City, a marvelous travel spot near Hyderabad. I along with my wife, kid and our guests, my sis-in-law and her husband. Though me and my family came here a couple of times, but it is a TINA situation for us as my relatives whenever they visit us here in Hyderabad, wish to pay a definite visit to Ramoji Film City. It is around 75 km from the city, or rather from where I stay. We set out in the morning in an Indica, after one and half hour journey we reached RFC at around 10.30 am. Fortunately the heavy rush that we saw in earlier two occasions were missing this time, may be because of the summer or any other reason. Entry ticket of Rs 250 per adult and children upto 3 years are complementary. We were taken to 'Eureka' a place where all the bus rides start and end. We strolled over the green gardens there, miniature gardens like Mysore Garden, Family Garden, Umbrela Garden, Japanese Garden, etc. were enchanting and photogenic. Hawa mahal, a near small copy of the original one from Jaipur, stood high, with garden around that. The amphitheatres, grass made animals, waterfalls, temnples and tall statues of 'Kinnaris' are ver very tempting to shoot at. Then it was time for the show 'Sririt of RFC' at 'Alampana' theatre and 'Wild Wild West', a stunt show in the back ground of a wild western cowboy pastures. Both the shows are well organized and very popular, though the eariler was modified enough to give new look, feel and joy. The spirit of RFC show, as I felt was curtailed a bit as I could remember last time there were many performers and a few events more, those are missing this time. However this was also very enchanting. The wild wild west show as usual was full of fights and bomb blasts and sound effetcs that will frighten you. After a quick lunch in the fast-food centre 'Gunsmoke' we walked in the lanes of the RFC fort and 'Meenabazar', which is a good place for shopping of memorabilias of RFC. Then it was the rides, there were two frightening rides which people enjoy despite it really forcves them to scream loaudly while revolving. The good one was the bumping car, which is good provided you secure you and your kid with the seat belt and bump against another car in the same ring. The one and another small car ride delighted my kid, who was exhaused already. In the meantime there were ice-creams and fruit juices to energise you in the scorching heat. We bid good by to RFC at 6 pm, and started for Hyderabad. The charm of the day remained with us and came another invitation from RFC to visit again next time one of my relative checks me in.
